GDPR brings broader territorial scope, higher financial penalties and additional requirements and responsibilities for organisations handling data for EU citizens. It aims to strengthen the rights of individuals and increases transparency around how their personal information is captured, stored and processed. It widens the existing ‘right to be forgotten’ under current data protection legislation and means individuals will be able to withdraw consent and request for their personal data to be deleted or ported elsewhere. With non compliance financial penalties of up to 4% global annual turnover its a huge focus for organisations across the globe.
Controlling and processing and maintaining records of recorded communications data will be a key consideration in your preparation for the GDPR, which takes effect on 25th May 2018. Red Box gives you a set of tools to build into your data management processes, in full support of your compliance obligations.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
Audio can be captured from 55+ UC and telephony systems (including legacy, PBX and hosted), contact centre solutions, radio, mobile and trading systems, turrets, mobile and radio, as well as SMS, IM, screen capture and video.
A wide range of rich metadata is automatically added to records at the point of capture. This can be enhanced through the addition of customisable fields and manual annotations.
Search and replay tools help you get the most out of recorded data and provide support for compliance regulations. Quickly and easily retrieve and replay recordings on-demand and search for spoken words through accurate phonetic search.
Highly accurate transcription of all audio conversations is available for 29 languages and growing. The text output can be imported into BI systems to search for personal information.
Recorded communications are stored in the recorders local CallStore, with options for storage extensions or archiving to external network storage. Configuration options provide support for retention policies and regulatory compliance. Record deletion capability is also available and can be built into your data management processes.
We also enable the export of records.
Taking steps to prevent a data breach is not a new requirement of businesses but the fines associated with one will be significantly higher when the GDPR comes into force. Red Box supports an organisation’s data protection policies in several ways including controlled platform access, replay authorisation controls, framebased recording and flexible deployment and storage options.
Compliance & Quality monitoring is available on the Red Box Recorders platform through our Quality Management App to enable businesses to evaluate whether users are correctly gaining consent and complying with regulatory requirements.
