An installation engineer will implement and configure the solution to agreed specifications, working with your technical staff and our own project manager and application specialists.
The installation engineer
Your installation engineer will provide a professional service, and will:
- Implement and configure the system to meet your expectations
- Document the site configuration and information
- Take you through the install test procedure to ensure the system is fully functional
- Give brief administrative training to IT personnel who maintain the system
- Ensure they maintain their certifications and, when necessary, achieve certification on third-party products
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure all parties are aware of the implementation status
- Ensure adherence to your health & safety and security policies
How you can help
In our experience, the active participation by a customer’s project team is vital to success. This includes:
- Completing the site preparation document before installation
- Preparing the site in accordance with the site preparation document, including appropriate rack space, shelving and telephony switch configuration
- Providing a network infrastructure that supports voice and data
- Offering timely assistance should unforeseen issues arise
- Working through the installation test plan and agreeing system sign-off
