Red Box offers a range of screen recording solutions, from global screen recording for compliance and evidence, to selective and scheduled screen recording for quality and performance management.

Screen recording allows you to record in high-quality, full-frame-rate video all events from any screen or screens that match the quality of the original video feed. This can be valuable in command and control centres where important video feeds are streamed back to an operator’s position. Recording the information the controller sees, as well as what is being said and the events that are being logged, is critical when reconstructing an incident and analysing for evidence or investigation.

Screen recording can also be used selectively and at lower frame rates to capture events or selectively sample screen-based information for quality. Selective recording of screen events can also help secure trader compliance: to ensure trades and trade information are not being passed via webchat or instant messenger, the system can trigger when these applications are launched. Any information communicated over these media is then captured.

Screen recording can be triggered with:

• Global recording – record everything all the time
• Application triggers – record when a specific application is launched
• Information triggers – record when specific words are typed into an application
• Event triggers – record specific electronic events (such as voice recording or third-party applications)

All these triggers can be used to pause recording, allowing the application to comply with PCi requirements and not to record specific financial or secure information.
