Evergreen solutions

Red Box solutions are designed to be ‘evergreen’. As the system is software-based, both the software and hardware can be upgraded independently. This means you can protect the core of your investment. We believe in selling licences only once, so you may change technologies, infrastructures and buildings, without having to repurchase capacity. There may be costs for system upgrades or new interfaces, but your overall investment is safe for the system’s lifetime.

We maintain backwards compatibility for systems over seven years old and three releases out of date. This includes support for expansion of capacity and features supported under that release, without limit. Every version of the Red Box recorder supports all the features available within that software version and can be extended within the system’s physical and licensed limits. Red Box supports the latest major revision of software for major functionality enhancements and fixes. However, we make it cost effective to move to the latest release whether or not you have a maintenance agreement.
